Origin and caracteristics
Multigrain flakes mix from Meunerie Milanaise is composed of the flakes of 6 different delicious grains: oat, wheat, rye, barleyand kamut. These flakes are stabilized by a thermal process allowing the counteraction of the enzyme leading to rancidity, which extends their shelf life.

Cooking
- Simmer 1 part multigrain flakes to 2 parts water for 12 to 15 minutes and it’s ready!

Maple multigrain hot cereal

multigrain flakes |
500 ml |
| 1 cup |
apple, unpeeled and chopped |
250 ml |
| ¼ cup |
maple syrup |
60 ml |
| ½ cup |
dried cranberries |
125 ml |
| ½ cup |
walnuts, chopped |
125 ml |
- In a skillet, heat the water until it simmers.
- Add the multigrain flakes and heat until it simmers again. Then, reduce the intensity and cook for about 12 minutes stirring regularly.
- Remove from the heat and add the apple, maple syrup, dried cranberries, and walnuts. Mix well.
- Cover and rest for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Serve with milk if desired and enjoy!
